The Wedding Dress is my version of literary comfort food. And I believe every reader should have their own comfort reads. You know what I mean... a novel that you know you will love, a novel that can take you away (at least for a few hours)from your everyday stresses and a novel that will stay with you long after you've passed it on to your friend.

The story idea of The Wedding Dress... the history of one beautiful wedding dress and the four unique and wonderful women who wore it... was something I've thought about and was so happy to read a novel that weaves those stories together.

I have to say, though, that my favorite story was Emily's. Thinking about why, I think it was because it was the beginning of the journey of the beautiful dress... it held so much promise and hope.

In case, you're wondering... the wedding dress I wore on March 19, 1988 was VERY similar to the dresses Kate Middleton and Grace Kelly wore when they married their Prince. Even my Prince...lol.. noticed the similarity to Kate's. The main differences... mine was tea length and the bodice was reminiscent of Princess Grace's... it was high collared as opposed to Kate's that had more of a V neck.

Who knows... maybe I'm the first of four unique and wonderful women to wear it. That would be an AMAZING legacy!
