Dina Silver has written a novel that completely exceeded my expectations. I am very choosy about the books I accept for review. so, I was pretty sure I would like it. But, I LOVED it!! It is just so much more than the "chick lit" I was expecting... not that chick lit is bad, it's not... I enjoy reading it. But One Pink Line straddles the line between chick lit and more character-driven fiction. It is because of the characters that I loved this novel so much.

The author weaves two stories together in an easy way and I decided that this was exactly the way One Pink Line needed to be written. It would not have been the great story it was had Ms. Silver written in a more traditional way. Transitioning the story between Grace and Sydney made it more "personal"... as we see the plot unravel from two different yet, still, connected points-of-view. Their emotions, actions and responses to situations are theirs... not filtered through another character's perceptions.

Speaking of unraveling (nice segue, huh?!?)... I think the book's cover is just PERFECT!! It is simple (in the best way!) and conveys so much about the novel in a very minimal way. Like most readers, I spend a lot (okay... probably too much) of time looking at book covers. After reading One Pink Line, I see so much more in it. This minimal cover, in my opinion, actually speaks volumes about the story that is inside. I hope Ms. Silver had some input and is pleased with this cover! If I were the author, I would be beyond thrilled at this first look the reader has at my novel!
